We are tickled pink we could help Dr. Benita Katzenellenbogen of the University of Illinois Urbana continue her research to outsmart aggressive breast cancers. With this grant, we’re helping fuel her mission to suppress tumor growth and make a real difference.

Since we launched the Challenge of the Americas (COTA), our mission has been crystal clear: raise funds to help find a cure for breast cancer through our partner, Play for P.I.N.K., in collaboration with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Thanks to our fantastic community, we’ve already raised over $3 million. And we’re just getting started!
With your help, we’re gearing up to present the Play for P.I.N.K. Challenge of the Americas Award again in 2025, and we can’t wait to team up with brilliant researchers like Dr. Katzenellenbogen to keep challenging breast cancer. Dr. Benita is working on valuable research on subtypes of breast cancer that can develop resistance to treatment. She’s developing innovative inhibitors to stop tumor growth and metastasis in their tracks while expanding treatment for aggressive forms of breast cancer. Her work is bringing hope where it’s needed most!
By supporting breast cancer research through the Challenge of the Americas, you’ll be playing a part in the quest to eradicate breast cancer in our lifetime.
Join us in this vital mission! Support COTA 2025 and let’s #challengebreastcancer together AGAIN!
Together We Can Make A Difference!
