About the Challenge Of The Americas

The Challenge of the Americas, having evolved over the past 14 years from an afternoon dressage exhibition/luncheon in 2002, has grown into an under-the-lights international equestrian extravaganza and gala. Its success and continued growth is due to its partnership in the fight against breast cancer, as well as its unique and highly entertaining format that features the ever-popular musical Grand Prix Quadrille Team Challenge - forever to be recognized as “dancing for women and men around the world.”

The Challenge Beneficiary

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is dedicated to being the end of breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF-funded investigators have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. This past October, BCRF awarded $59.5 million to support the work of more than 275 scientists at leading medical and academic institutions across 15 countries, making BCRF the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide. BCRF is the highest rated breast cancer organization in the U.S.—the only one with an “A+” from CharityWatch and Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars. Visit to learn more.

Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge), or PFP, is a 501 (c)(3) grassroots organization dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research through sporting and lifestyle events.  PFP’s commitment is to contribute 100% of all proceeds to its sole beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), to fund the world’s top researchers. PFP donated $4.6 million to BCRF in 2017 and is currently supporting 20 research projects.  Since 1996, PFP has raised over $52 million for breast cancer research. Visit to learn more.
